UK continues to grow year, it is time to look at the planning laws seriously. There have always been heated arguments between developers and Environmentalists as well as local Developers arguing we need more homes even in back gardens, environmentalist and local have on the other hand argue that destroys the environment and “not in my back garden” respectively.

One thing remains true that the population continues to grow and they are now more single households than before and this trend will continue to rise with more and more people getting divorced and the rise of people preferring to just remain single. Surely something must give in. New rules for easy extensions and similar things have got to be done to deal with the whole planning system. It is a difficult political issue for the government to handle but something has to be done sooner than later. Already first time buyers cannot afford to go on the housing ladder in

London. It remains to be seen if the government can look at the system.
